A few thoughts on Michael Jackson
As I am sure everyone is aware, Michael Jackson died last night in Los Angelies of a suspected heart attack.
Regardless of whether you loved him or hated him, at the end of the day, the man was a musical genious, who will be remembered forever. There’s not really much to say, his legacy will speak for itself, and despite his
image being tarnished by controversy in recent years, I don’t think that makes today any less of a loss.
One of those contrversies lead to one of, in my opinion, his more unique works being left uncredited. The score to Sonic The Hedgehog 3, many believe, is littered with Jackson’s music, and I for one don’t have a shadow of a doubt that this is the case.
Perhaps we may never know the truth, or perhaps Sega will finally now come clean for some free publicity. Regardless, if you’ve never heard the music of Sonic 3, I reccomend you have a play, purely to listen to some more Jackson musical genious. Oh, and then play Moonwalker on Mega Drive. Great stuff.
R.I.P. Jacko, thou shalt be missed.

Don’t have long to type this really, as I’ve got to get back to grinding the wheel or however they say it.
Just writing to inform my tens of tens of readers that my interview yesterday went very well indeed. I am now pretty certain that I will get a PRRROOMOOTTIOON….

I won’t know for certain until later this week (today if they’re quick enough) – so fingers crossed. With any luck I will be in post by this time next week, which will be fun.
I’ve currently got a lot of work on though, so if there seems to be a bit of radio silence on my end, don’t panic, I haven’t fallen under the 8 or anything.
I have to admit, as a side thought, that this blog has been doing quite well since I updated it. I’m quite impressed with myself!
*jumping up and down screaming like Robotnik*
I am having a poor week at the moment. It’s not good at all.
I’ve not updated my Twitter much as my old phone is too buggy now to really be reliable, and as such I relegated it to simple webcam duty, but sadly, my new phone hasn’t come yet either. It should be there when I get home today, but, the major part is, that I was charged *twice* and was made overdrawn… thankfully the bank canceled their second transaction, but it was brown trousers time for a moment there.
I have an interview on Monday at 2pm, for the job of regional SHE administrator, which is one step up the ladder from my current job. It’ll be exciting and challenging, but I want the job a lot, and so hopefully, I will be able to give myself a…

As I also breifly mentioned in my Twitter, I went to view a new house with Christy the other day. It’s pretty cool, although I don’t fit through the obscenely small back door, but the rooms are very big, and it’s in a great location, over the road from Morrisons, Swinton Precint, a Subway, and the 36 bus route.
We need to get the paperwork sorted out and stuff now, but with any luck we’ll get it, which would be a grand adventure and all that, so, times are a-changin’ as my boss likes to say.
Now, with any luck I’ll be back on my mobile Twitter tonight…. and I’ll be sure to do plenty of TwitPic’ing this weekend with the epic camera it has….
This is the house btw; looks nicer on the inside though. >_>

Time to say goodbye to an old friend…
We’ve spent many years together, had many adventures together. She’s brought music into my life during the dullest of times, and shone light in the darkness when I’ve needed it most. She’s captured the best of me, deleted the worst, and most importantly, helped me update my Twitter account.
I’m talking about my wonderful phone, of course.
Sadly the time has come to put the HTC TyTN into retirement. The old girl has been acting up recently by failing to retain memory, much like any old aged pensioner, and this, combined with much battle damage and a battery the size of Italy hanging out of the back, it was time to call retirement.
But there is always something new to replace the old, so here, ladies and gentlemen, is the future;

The Omnia…Several new features over my TyTN include, the ability to tell at what angle I am holding the phone, and adjust screen acrodingly, a huge internal memory store, a iPhone style flat-fronted finger operable screen, and my favourite part will be a pendant I get to wear round my neck, which you attach your headphones into, meaning the phone is cable free \o/
There’s also a pretty wicked 5mp camera in there too, which will make my TwitPic’s far more interesting.
So, what of the poor old TyTN? Well, for the immediate future, I will attempt to set it up as a wireless webcamera, so not only will it mean the webcam will work on here, but, more excitingly, I can put it in any place within wireless range of my router, ie. the female toilets in the Isis, or Magnum PI’s front room.
Goodbye TyTN. I shed a tear for you my love.
